At: Yates Community Center at 10:30 am Bhutanese in Nebraska voted on the Election for the new community leader and Bhim Gurung got elected as president of Bhutanese Community in Nebraska (eleelec). Vice-president: Krishna Subba General Secretary: Surja Rai. Press and Publicity Secretary: Bikash Biswa. Games and Sports Secretary: Amir Gurung. Cultural Secretary: Purna Rai. Treasurer: Jit Subba. Youth Coordinator: Tul Rai. Community Management Committee (CMC): Prem Magar. Education Secretary and Literature & Art Secretary will be nominated by the present Executive Board. Nominated BCN Board of Trustees Kumar Gurung Durga Biswa Govin Magar Sree Raj Gurung. Gopal Thapa Karna Gurung. Phurba Tamang. Yogen Bhujel. Dipak Karki. Mangal Rai Chandra Kala Rai Raju Subba TN Gurung. Board of Trustees is formed to give support to the newly formed BCN Executive board. Community Management Committee chief Prem Magar will form a new committee to solve the community issues and services. Newly elected BCN president said that his newly elected Executive team will work for the community development in different departments, work with the community’s social, youths, students and religious group to run the community better progressively. He also said he will complete some of the task left or not-completed by previous executive board. On the Election, BCN’s Founding Father Kumar Gurung said he’s very happy to see the leaders of religious groups, youths group, Students, Creative group and all other clubs together and unitedly working to make the election success and all of them included. He forward sees all orgs/groups working under the umbrella org BCN unitedly for the progress of community. BCN X-President Durga Biswa updated the progress of the community in his administration since 2012 to March 8,2014. He said he is very exited to see youth leaders coming forward to lead the community. He also said BCN was successful in opening community office, support employment, Give primary support to newly arrived families, needy families. And to keep the community people united
