Bhutanese Community of Connecticut marked the 200th Bhanu Jayanti.

            Bhutanese Community of Connecticut marked the 200th Bhanu Jayanti on July 12, 2014 aimed to preserve and promote Nepali Literature. Many Bhutanese Nepali writer and language lover were present during the event. The program was chaired by former BCC president and OBCA northeast regional VP and chief gust Dr. Khagendra luitel TU professor from Nepal.

        Besides this program was focused with the aim to  increase awareness regarding Mental Health and Suicide in the Bhutanese Communities across USA .  Dr. Maya Prabhu Psychological Medicine Division and the Yale Law and Psychiatry Division, Yale New Heaven did the power point presentation highlighting the problem of mental health and she gave hope and encouragement to people to feel free talk about the problems. She highlight resources to get support for the family and individual. Similarly Dr. Marcus M. McKinney Asst. Professor, Department of Psychiatry University of CT School of Medicine) for assisting us on mental Health Information talk about the relation to extend help and support the community of Saint Francis hospital. The program was hosted by BCC president Rup Bharati and Tanka Regmi.
