BASC Press Release: 7th Annual Interstates Bhutanese Soccer Tournament in Minnesota, US

The Bhutanese American Sports Council (BASC), USA, has proudly announced their “7th Annual Interstate Bhutanese Soccer Tournament” to be held on July 1st, 2nd and 3rd 2017, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, hosted by the Minnesotan communities in the initiation of the Bhutanese Community Organization of Minnesota (BCOM). The press release states that the tournament schedule location was decided by the council in Seattle, Washington on July 3rd, 2016, during their 6th Annual Bhutanese Soccer Tournament. This time they welcome you to the land of ten thousand lakes of Minnesota.
According to the press release, the 7th Annual Interstates Bhutanese Soccer Tournament is the seventh annual event of the Bhutanese American Sports Council (BASC), which is open to all Bhutanese origin people with the sports spirit and talents residing in the United States. It has been successfully practiced every year with the participation of 1000 plus Bhutanese Americans since 2011. The press release states that like the former years, this year too, only one team representing their state will be accepted except TX, PA, OH, NY (considering the density of Bhutanese population in these states), and the host state itself. All the participating teams are supposed to be registered online through the official website of the BASC, or off-line through designed officials of the event. The team registration due date is May 15th, 2017; 11:59 pm as that of last year, until further notice by the joint announcement of the BASC and host’s event coordinating committee.
The BASC has formed a tournament coordinating committee appointing two volunteer coordinators from the council including two coordinators from the host organization.
