GBLO extended, now in Australia

With the celebration of 202nd Birth Anniversary of Adi Kavi Bhanu Bhakta Acharya, Global Bhutanese Literary Organization, Australia Chapter is being formed on 13th July organizing a literary program in Adelaide, South Australia. Bishnu Tamang is elected as the chief coordinator for the chapter.

The senior literary figure who have been giving dedication to uplift the Nepali Literature Gopal Ghimire, founder and editor in chief at Bhutanese literature Yati Raj Ajnabee, poet and radio personality Prakash Dhamala, poet Prem Pandey, poet Khagendra Khatiwada, poetess Ambika Dulal, literary figure Chhatra Dangal, writer Tek Bhandari along with several other invitees, intellectuals, literary figures and members of the community were present.

During the program, participants discussed and spoke about the contribution of Bhanu Bhakta in Nepali Literature. Poem recitation and other literary creation were also present in the program.

In our question, what is the motto of establishing GBLO Australia chapter? – The central member of GBLO from Australia, one of the participant, Chattra Dangal answered- “Our main objective of forming chapter here in Australia is to leverage our organization’s mission of globalizing our Nepali literature, music, art and culture. Through these medium we focused to build dignified identity worldwide.”

Likewise, responding to our enquiry, central member of GBLO Bishnu Tamang said that besides promoting and preserving art and literature, we also focus on social services like helping people at disadvantage, helping build peaceful and prosperous community through different social activities.

Including Australia, to name some GBLO has chapters in New Zealand, Nepal, in different states of America.
