The Himalayan Druk Dallas FC bagged the championship of the First Kirat Cup 2016, by defeating the Everest FC by 2-0. The First Interstate Kirat Soccer Tournament, ‘Kirat Cup 2016’ was successfully organized in Dallas by the Kirat Society of Texas for Religion, Texas, on June 11 and 12, 2016.
Bishnu Rai, the General Secretary of the organization reported, “The event was Chaired by Bhim Libang, the President of the Kirat Society of Texas, and Hari Subedi was the Chief guest. Santa Lama – the President of Sports Council, AK Rana Sampang – the BASC General Secretary, LB Subba – WFG Senior Marketing Director, and Manoj Rai – Nepali entrepreneur, were the special guests.”
Bikash Thapa from Himalayan Druk FC bagged the Best Player Trophy. Similarly, Sonam Tamang from Himalayan Druk FC bagged High Scorer, Milan Rai also from Himalayan Druk FC bagged Best Goalie, and Ganga Darjee from Everest FC bagged the Discipline Player trophy of the First Kirat Cup 2016.
The grand Kirat Soccer Tournament was sponsored by Monaj Rai from Everest Restaurant, Irving, Neeru Bhandari of Namaste Neeru Fashion Clothing Center, Dallas, and Amit Shakya of 98 Market, Dallas. There were nine teams participating from different city and states in the First Kirat Cup 2016. The mega Kirat Cup was coordinated by Mr. Surja Subba, the Program Coordinator of the organization.
One of the volunteer leader from the host committee, Amit Subba, reported the main objectives of the event was to create understanding, coordination and recreation to the people of our community.
