Svikarokti Foundation, Inc. received the third edition of the Dinesh Chamling Memorial Youth Award through an award presentation ceremony at 6700 Derry Street, Harrisburg. The winner of this year\u2019s award was announced at the 6th Grand International Creative Ceremony at The Hague, Netherlands, on June 14, 2025. The official handover took place today.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dinesh Chamling Memorial Youth Award, started by Naren Chamling and his family in the name of their dear brother and poet Dinesh Chamling, aims to inspire and appreciate persons and institutions who are selflessly adding value to society in the field of literature, social service, community building, and uplifting others. The award has previously been awarded to noted social worker and journalist Ramesh Goutam and literary personality Dr. Mahesh Dahal of Darjeeling, India.\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

The Chamling family chose Svikarokti Foundation, Inc. as the winner of this year\u2019s award for its exceptional work in encouraging peace, equality, and well-being through the Svikarokti path. Along with the recognition, the foundation received a cash award of $5,001.<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking on behalf of the family, Naren Chamling said

It is our responsibility to support such noble endeavors, and this award is a token of our family\u2019s commitment to encourage this path.”<\/p><\/blockquote><\/div>

Accepting the honor, Denzome Sampang, President of the foundation and promulgator of the Svikarokti philosophy, expressed deep gratitude. Senior writer Gandaki Putra, writer Lila Nisha, social worker Dropati Pradhan, senior poet Er. T.R. Rai Anshu, community leader, T.B. Gurung, Harrisburg Bhutanese Community president – Tilak Niraula, Kriyamana Foundation CEO Bharat Timsina, PhD scholar Lila Chamlagai, along with many other writers, journalists, and members of the Bhutanese-Nepali community, were present at the program.
